Reminder
The City Police Department reminds everyone of Angola's Routine Snow Removal Ordinance . This ordinance requires owners, drivers or operators of any vehicle parked on any street, alley, public square or designated public parking lot to move or cause to be moved the said vehicles each 24 hours to allow for snow removal.
The criterion for the issuance is based on a snow fall of more than 4 inches. The decision to enforce will be made by the Chief of Police and the City Street Superintendent.
The first violation of the 24-hour period will be cause for a red tag being issued. Violation of the 24-hour red tag will be cause for removal. Towing and removal will be at the owner's expense.
The City encourages public cooperation so that safe and clear routes can be maintained during the winter season.
The Angola City Police also remind the public that they will be enforcing the abandoned vehicle ordinance throughout the entire year. For questions on this ordinance, please contact the police department or city hall. |
