Cruise to the Monument - CANCELLED 2020

It is with disappointment that the City of Angola announces that this year’s Cruise to the Monument in September has been cancelled. The planning, personnel, volunteers, and resources required to create a safe environment for visitors and our community, are all factors that have led us to believe cancellation would be in the community’s best interest.
We appreciate the effort and time put into producing events by both staff and volunteers as well as the public who enjoy and attend these events. Thank you for your continued support as we all work together through this critical time in our nation and our community.

The scheduled date for 2021 is Wednesday, Sept. 15.

Over the last seven years, Cruise to the Monument has become an anticipated yearly event, bringing community together in an atmosphere that is distinctively Angola's.  Located in the heart of Angola's Commercial Historic Downtown District, it's two intersecting highways-US 20 and Old US 27, are closed to thru traffic for this very special event. 

Participants can bring their collector car, hot rod, antique, custom car, etc. to the cruise-in to share with the public.  Food vendors, as well as some local establishments and event vendors will be open to serve visitors. There is no fee.  Participating vehicles should register after parking in front of City Hall on the public square.

The Hubie Ashcraft Band, a regional favorite, is scheduled to play at the event and is sure to make an already incredible evening even more fun for visitors.  

Sponsorships and Vending

If you're interested in sponsorship of this event, you can download a sponsorship form here We'll place your logo and/or your business name on banners during the event and on advertising after your sponsorship is received.  Sponsorships will go towards the promotion of the event, live music, as well as helping to support our staff and our 50+ volunteers who help run and maintain a safe and secure event.
