After much deliberation we would like to tell our community about the summer we are about to have. This is no easy task for us, we love our job and love giving the community free events and programs.

As of now, the following changes to the 2020 Angola Parks and Recreation schedule have been made:

Canceled Events:
June 4 - Pig Out in the Park
June 4 - Pickleball Class
June 5 - The Hubie Ashcraft Band Live in Commons Park
June 6 - Yoga in the Park

July 4 - Independence Day Celebration

All pavilions, park restrooms, playgrounds, pickleball courts, softball diamonds and basketball courts will remain CLOSED until June 14.

Commons Hall rentals will only allow a 75% capacity after June 14 - July 3.

The Angola Summer Recreation Program will not start as planned on June 8. Consideration will be made and this will be reevaluated after July 3.

Please remain patient with us as we navigate through these uncertain times. These are the only decisions that have been made and they are subject to change as we move forward.

We have three developed parks which are Commons Park with over 100 acres of recreational space, Firemen's Park located on Williams St. and Nature Park located on the corner of Ettinger St. and Butler St. Some of the amenities included in these parks are four baseball/softball diamonds, a soccer field, three playgrounds, volleyball courts and five picnic shelters available for rent and now and indoor rental facility!

Angola Parks & Recreation are responsible for a variety of programs and events each year. The programs consist of the Summer Recreation Program and the Tree Memorial Program. We also have a variety of events throughout the year, such as the City Wide Tree Give Away, Easter Egg Hunt, Independence Day Celebration, Civil War Days, Halloween Fun and two concerts each year. We also offer FREE Yoga classes and Pickleball classes!
