PARK HISTORY:

The Angola Parks & Recreation is made up of five full time staff members, four seasonal maintenance positions and three Summer Recreation Program staff members. Our staff manages over 200 acres of parkland and 4.2 mile of trail within the City of Angola. We have three developed parks which are Commons Park with over 100 acres of recreational space, Firemen's Park located on Williams St. and Nature Park located on the corner of Ettinger St. and Butler St. Some of the amenities included in these parks are four baseball/softball diamonds, disc golf a soccer field, three playgrounds, basketball courts and volleyball courts. 

Angola Parks & Recreation also offers five picnic shelters available to rent and an indoor rental facility! 

Angola Parks & Recreation are responsible for a variety of programs and events each year. The programs consist of the Summer Recreation Program and the Tree Memorial Program. We also have a variety of events throughout the year, such as the Young Child Family Fair, City Wide Tree Give Away, Adopt-A-Tree Festival, Easter Egg Hunt, Pig out in the Park, Independence Day Celebration, American History Fest, Halloween Fun and concerts in park! We also offer FREE Yoga classes and Disc Golf introduction for beginners!
